CSAA STEAM Program

Carlos Santana Arts Academy, a Title 1 elementary school with a Spanish Dual Language Program, and full inclusion school in North Hills. Our student body faces a variety of everyday difficulties related to their socioeconomic realities.

At Carlos Santana Arts Academy, a critical part of our educational foundation is our beloved STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) program. STEAM offers our students much more than just academic enrichment. Due to funding, we are at risk of losing our STEAM program for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond.

Our STEAM teacher, Mr. Steffes, has a background in special education. Mr. Steffes ensures a thoughtfully designed curriculum accessible to all students. He provides tailored support and differentiation, excelling in creating inclusive classroom experiences. A strong advocate for student needs, Mr. Steffes maintains clear communication with parents and the educational team, making him a vital asset to our campus.

Losing Mr. Steffes and our STEAM program would be a devastating loss to our school community and academic program. We believe that strong STEAM educational experiences are critical to preparing students for success, especially for those from vulnerable backgrounds. With your support, we hope to not only restore our program but also secure its future.

Your donation will allow us to continue offering this transformative program, but also retain the expertise of Mr. Steffes, a key figure in its success. With your investment, we can ensure a lasting impact on the lives of our students.
